Elie P. Istrin has joined Wolf, Rifkin, Shapiro, Schulman & Rabkin, LLP as a partner where he will be specializing in tax and wealth planning, estate planning, and charitable giving. In this role, he leverages his extensive background to navigate complex tax landscapes and optimize asset transfers for high-net-worth clients.
Previously, Elie was an Associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP. There, he honed his expertise in tax matters and client relations. Before this position, he worked at Venable LLP, where he developed tailored strategies to effectively meet client needs.
With a comprehensive background in income tax reporting learned from his experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Elie’s expertise includes advising on various trust structures, such as Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts (GRATs) and intentionally defective grantor trusts, with a focus on the tax-efficient transfer of wealth to individuals and charitable causes.
Elie earned his Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law in 2015 with an emphasis on taxation. Admitted to practice in California, he is committed to delivering sound financial and legal advice to clients, ensuring their long-term financial wellbeing and peace of mind.
