Attorney Royi Moas in the firm’s wage and hour class action department, recently settled a Nevada Minimum Wage Lawsuit filed in Northern Nevada fighting for a group of hourly employees that were paid below $8.25 per hour in Nevada. Even though the employees were members of a union, the suit alleged violation of the Nevada Minimum Wage Amendment which required employers to pay employees no less than $8.25 per hour. The Class Action Representative was a former employee of the company who came forward and retained the firm on behalf of the entire class of minimum wage workers. The Second Judicial District Court in Reno, Nevada, approved the final settlement and payments were distributed to employees.
